GWR Steam Railmotor No 93 - Launch Day at GWS Didcot - 28th May 2011

These are videos of the newly restored Steam Railmotor No 93.

A fifteen year project has seen a dedicated team of volunteers from the Great Western Society restore this vehicle from an old hulk. It was first built in 1908, then converted to an Autocoach in 1934, when the engine and driving bogie were scrapped. Later it suffered many years of neglect after withdrawal.

The restoration project has included the construction from new of the boiler, driving wheels and motion, and a total restoration of the interior and exterior of the coach to its former splendour.

@MoiUnMouton indeed she is, if all goes to plan I'll film her at Swindon on the outward then off to Didcot for a few hours and back to Swindon in time to film her on the return trip =)
