@clay70 UR so right! I am near 70 & I remember seeing them & it changed my life. I said, why are they playing like Christians& we playing like 'They' should have been playing. I became a Russian almost instantly, although I still liked my Canadians.

Great story and great move on a great Canadian's part. Hats off to Mr. Smith!! As well, the Soviets in 1981 were incredible. One of the best teams ever assembled.

i agree the soviets won fare and square and even though your Canadians you have to loose sometime i think the soviets have everyright to take the cup mr. eagleson is just greedy why would he do such a thing.
