  • yes, but why wouldn't I just take advantage of you. It is not enough to just be selfless. You must be firm to respect your own values and at the same time if you can find no fault in your neighbors values you must respect them too as long as you and they are both free. I do not want my neighbor to tell me for what I am sowing my garden. Thats tyranny. The government cannot choose for me when it helpful for me to give. Only god has that right to judge me.

  • but it is alright to be selfish to an extend we need to be to be self defensive and we have to contribute to our needs at times to but at the same time have some humility and understand we are not the only person who needs self contribution if we can understand this then one can work for the needs of the many and the many work for the needs of the one , this applies to any lifestyle.

  • but i'm saying that if you help people, they will repay you, or you will get the same service when you need it.

  • I have not met anyone, poor who is selfless. Being in Love is the most selfish of all acts: two people want eachother just for themselves. I have met a lot of people that say they are selfless. It is a stuggle to be responsable to yourself and your family. I don't want you or anyone to struggle to be responsable for me. The real world dictates we inovate for ourselves or die trying.

  • all i'm saying is that it's better to think of others needs than your own. If you help people, they will eventually repay you. For example, if you pay taxes to help healthcare, you will get healthcare when you need it.

  • Do gooders have one thing in common: They can only do good by spending other peoples money. If you want to devote your life to starving people, fine; but don't ask others to devote there hard work and efforts for you.

  • Ignorant bigotry does nothing to sway me. If I had a choice between listening to a guy who participates in name-calling and someone who speaks to the issues (Edwards), you'd lose everytime.

  • Three things, let's start telling people that gross vulgarities (bad language) shouldn't be tolerated.

Second thing - Bob, I went to his site and found position papers. I like what you said though about organizing them.

Three, unless you are in the top 4% Edwards has no plan on raising your taxes.

  • We need higher taxes buddy. They're too low.

  • right on point tell it to him like it is, I also won't be voting for him either
