In this video, I tat very slowly to show how all the movements are made. This is the "slip-and-slide" method of which there are many videos available but I know that it really helped me to see many people tatting this way when I was learning so I hope this is helpful to some of you.
Thank you for your video. Yours was the only one that helped me to understand what I actually needed to do to get the "flip". I thought I was on a roll with tatting until I saw your video. Now it really does make things come together because I was wondering how the thread was going to work out the way I was doing it. (It wouldn't have). I still have a long way to go but I think I can get it now. I am just learning and teaching myself.
Hi Mrs H., thank you very much for your comment. I hope it is working out with the tatting and that you are enjoying it. There is so much information available online nowadays, I think it's great to be able to see a variety of methods. Don't hesitate to ask if I can help any further.
I opened a YouTube account just so I could tell you how much your video has helped me. Your demo at such a slow speed allowed me to compare your knots to mine. I figured out what I've been doing wrong (not pulling the shuttle thread tight enough)! Thank you so much. My error has been driving me crazy. Absolutely an excellent video.

This video is fantastic for beginners. Thank you so much. By the way your shuttle is beautiful where on earth did you get it?

Thank you! The shuttle is by La Cossette (3w.etsy.com/shop/lacossette - can't put an actual link here on youtube).
