St.George Bank Little Legends with the Dragons

On Friday 28 May 2010, the Rugby League match between the St.George Illawarra Dragons and the Parramatta Eels was overshadowed by the 'main game' featuring two teams of Under 10s footballers from the St.George Bank Community Challenge, aimed at raising funds for the St.George Foundation.

Thanks to St.George Bank and the St George Illawarra Dragons, the junior support match for the NRL game at WIN Stadium between Corrimal Cougars (Wollongong) versus Renown United (Mortdale) was profiled as a top-level clash! Thanks to St.George Bank, the junior teams were given a taste of what it is like to be real NRL players with scheduled training, media calls and interviews!

The promotion is all part of the bank's brand positioning - they're big enough to be major sponsors of the mighty Dragons, but small enough to recognise and support local junior rugby in the community
