Labours shadow foreign secretary Douglas Alexander is asked if the UK and other countries are attacking Libya to get Colonel Gaddafi out, why are we not in Syria getting that despot out? A typical weak reply from a politician.

Recorded from BBC Weekend Breakfast, 21 August 2011.

  • why should he know? he is a shadow foreign secretary. Go YOUR Tory buddies.

  • @weslake898 you don't just kick down the front door of the Middle-Eastern core nations and get away with it because you were 'right' to do so. Playing with a hair-trigger like the Syrian - and lo all the arab nations - unrest will cause calamity.
