but u could just buy a ventilator en do it on the 360 i do that when i have PROD ( i had it once ) i let ehe xboxbox for 1day not playin en i just did meh ventilator to it it works !! ( sorry bad english)

the 360 does not get the three red lights because of overheating it is a general problem that microsoft messed up big time on and thats why they fix it for free if you get three red lights cus they know its there fault for manafacturing there product too early they messed up on the weldings on the gpu(graphic processing unit)that is why your screen starts freezing and shows white lines and thats when your red rings of death show up.

Lol, I doubt you're save with the Elite. 2 people I know had them and they died, and the 1 person I know who had it got it in 2007 and it RROD'd wtf?

ms now gives u 3 years extended warranty for free, which means as long as you aint opened up the box you can get a replacement for free.
personally, i would sell the new replaced xbox asap.
