  • RonnieFriend.....Still play this almost everyday!!! I love it today just as much as I did way back when.. I have searched...with no luck. Do you know if this is on a CD anywhere???

Thank you for this wonderful tune!!!!!!!

  • That's great! Ur welcome! But no, I don't know of any CD... I have it only on vinyl! From the vinyl I recorded it onto cassette tape long ago, then more recently into the computer as mp3. I can send you the mp3 if you want...

  • Great song and a good rendition of it, own the LP.

I should probably correct you that Bee Gees hasn't released a recording of this song as it was written and produced by them for the group Marbles and most likely play on that recording too.

Bee Gees recorded their own version of this song during the Main Course sessions in 1975 but that version remains unreleased so far.

  • Thanks for the additional info! I enjoy all these little tidbits about music ...

    I forgot....Duh...thank you very much!!!

  • I have a "sample copy" of this on 45. It's great to hear it again!

  • I have always loved this song and thank you for posting. I also enjoyed the video. I have a brother in the music business who had the opportunity to meet Nigel, Gus, and even Elton a few years ago. My brother was taken with how nice a guy Nigel was. Loved the Elton and Bernie era, and the great team that surrounded him.

  • It’s also noteworthy that the Swedish rock band ‘Alien’ is best known today just for their cover of this song in 1988, which reached #1 in Sweden and remained there for six weeks.

  • @barneypip This song is one of the six songs that the prolific Bee Gees wrote for The Marbles, and was their 'only one... ' major hit: it reached no.5 in the UK Singles Chart, Nov 68. (Their 2nd single "The Walls Fell Down" -also by the Bee Gees- only reached Number 28 in the same chart). In 2006, Declan Galbraith did the best cover of this song.

  • Thank You Ronnie Friend. I just got a sealed copy of the Album recently and it sounds pretty good. Amazing you can still find old Records like that.
