Derren Brown reproduces the Milgram experiment on the episode, "The Heist."

In this episode, Derren Brown subconciously influences middle management buisness men and women with no previous criminal record to pull an armed robbery without ever directly mentioning the idea to them.

The Interesting fact is that Milgram Created his experiment in response to the Holocaust, to prove that No Good White American would ever do what the Nazis did, boy was he wrong.

Many people have lived most of their lives following order, and they feel aimless without it

There are two kind of people in this world, people that follow orders and people that think for themselves. Religious people are in the first category.

The purpose was most definitely not to upset people, but to better understand why people may obey authority figures, even when asked to do something against their value system. This clip is not the original study, but a reenactment of the study done on a reality T.V. show in the U.K.

Funny how Derren, like most other people who don't know much about electricity, is able to pass off 400V as a "lethal" voltage when considering home appliances only use 220V. I have personaly on numerous occasions had shocks of 250.000v (that's two hundred and fifty thousand). How? A small testing tool we used at work to test for false current in electric motors. We used to electricute each other quite often as a prank on each other. Volts are pffhhh....its the amps that get ya.
