@thebrothersdupree Yes, my friend.It is necessary to highlight that into the specter of Soul History, this song must be considered a zenith I'm latino and I consider that never in the life Shakira would write something like that because the harmony knowledge that you must have in music it's not a game and Asford and Simpson, specially Valerie, always showed something that really was a breakdown into the pop history.

What can i say about this legendary duo. They were hip, cool, and had more jive & soul then a gospel church choir put altogether. They were and still are what inspired me to sing. And let me tell you all something, when Valerie told me i had one helluva voice for a white boy, at one of there concerts. I certainly listened and followed her instruction. It breaks my heart Nick is gone, i'm grateful he's in a MUCH better place right now. Keep strong Valerie we ALL love you very much.....~Hugs~

Just found out about Nick Ashford's passing in Ebony. I remember admiring their performances so much when I was growing up. He will be missed!

I took my 9 year old daughter to see this amazing couple when they performed in Boston's Strand Theatre, we were so privileged to have seen them. I've followed them for most of my life, my 9 year old was dancing in the aisle. A show I'll never forget. This is heartbreaking, they were part of me....I'm praying for his wife and daughters. The most talented songwriters that ever lived.
