  • put a piece of pvc in your crate and slide it in it .that way you can have front and rear mount.or a good mount if you do not have a scotty mount

  • If you don't have a scotty mount you can buy a simple mount from home depot for 3-4$ that you can screw a pvc fitting into then stick this exact setup into it!

Total cost me 12$ good stuff - The redfish videos are dope too. OnShoreGuide

  • Great idea but I would add a safety pin where your fitting slides down over the PVC pipe at the top. Just drill a hole through the width of the pipe & fitting, slide the pin through and put the locking cotter pin through the hole provided at the end of the safety pin. That way you KNOW you can't lose your gear by some freak mistake. Just an idea....

  • Thanks for that,Good work Mate you solved my problem

    Cheers

  • Tripods are very cheap at yard sales not a week goes by where I dont see one at a YS. Why do I say this cayuse many of them have perfectly good bases you can use atop a pvc pipe then you have adjustability beyond lateral settings. Tripoda come apart too and you can take those parts especially the base for the cam use it where you have clearance. Remember where there is a will there is a lawsuit.

  • very good video. One thing you should mention. On the bottom of the camera, the tripod mount is 1/4 inch, with 20 threads per inch. Don't want people to strip the threads of the cameras tripod mount. If unsure, people should bring their camera to the hardware store to test it when buying the bolt. Good Job Rob!
