@norostereo Finally someone who agrees with me! I have a 9001 preamp and it has always be killer. I agree with needing new tubes. I replaced mine recently with GT ECC83s and man what a difference. Sound great before, but now the gain is incredible and the cleans are pristine. I will never get rid of mine. I am going to send it to voodoo to recap and put in new transformers. Just to make it sound better with the new trannies.

Hey man real nice and fuck the mistakes, that's what practice is for.Could you give me some info on the Marshall 9001 preamp, like if it's solid state or tube? And maybe an overall as far as ease of operation, sound quality and if it's versatile even though I play mostly really heavy stuff? Thanks man and kick ass playing there bro!!!

@38decembers Thanks for your comment, I really appreciate it. It's a tube preamp. It's really easy to use, works the same way as a normal amp. The only problem is that it's very old. I really need to change the tubes to give a fair opinion. BTW it sounds great with the old tubes, clean sounds are a little weak, but for heavy stuff, it's my favorite piece of gear.
