I must disagree with your statement we had no Idea as we the U.S. supplied Russia for the effort. We used the Russians to weaken the Germans. Are we really so ignorant? Supply the Russians and let them take the pressure of of the west. I believe it is called killing two birds with one stone.

Everytime you see videos about WW2. Whether its Saving Private Ryan, Enemy at the Gates, Pearl Harbor or any other WW2 documentary. You always have heated arguments about who did more to win the war? The US or the Soviets and its such a petty argument. The real unfortunate thing about the whole thing is that the US and the Soviet Union couldn't get along after the fact. Imagine if they had good relations? That's an alliance that would led both to world peace and probably world fear.

@EmperorDragosh Germany had 750,000 give or take some and USSR had around 1,130,000 military losses. Civilian losses were much less than 900,000 get the facts right. Although 40,000 is a shy estimate it is much more reliable than friggin' 900k.

sorry but I don't know very mutch about the eastern front. In this video, when russian soldiers run aginst germans, is that the battle where 1.5 million men died??and why are they killing their own soldiers??:S
