Are Mormons Christian? Yes! Mormons are Christian. Mormon testimony of Jesus Christ
"Now, to anyone within the sound of my voice who has wondered regarding our Christianity, I bear this witness. I testify that Jesus Christ is the literal, living Son of our literal, living God. This Jesus is our Savior and Redeemer who, under the guidance of the Father, was the Creator of heaven and earth and all things that in them are. I bear witness that He was born of a virgin mother, that in His lifetime He performed mighty miracles observed by legions of His disciples and by His enemies as well. I testify that He had power over death because He was divine but that He willingly subjected Himself to death for our sake because for a period of time He was also mortal. I declare that in His willing submission to death He took upon Himself the sins of the world, paying an infinite price for every sorrow and sickness, every heartache and unhappiness from Adam to the end of the world. In doing so He conquered both the grave physically and hell spiritually and set the human family free. I bear witness that He was literally resurrected from the tomb and, after ascending to His Father to complete the process of that Resurrection, He appeared, repeatedly, to hundreds of disciples in the Old World and in the New. I know He is the Holy One of Israel, the Messiah who will one day come again in final glory, to reign on earth as Lord of lords and King of kings. I know that there is no other name given under heaven whereby a man can be saved and that only by relying wholly upon His merits, mercy, and everlasting grace can we gain eternal life."

Debating whether "Mormons are Christians" is focusing on terminology. When people say Mormons aren't Christians, they mean Mormonism is heterodox. (Mormonism agrees it's different when it claims the regular church has gone astray.)
Also, similar to how Christianity added its New Testament to the Jewish scripture (the Torah) and how Islam added its Quran to the Christian/Jewish scriptures, Mormonism adds its own sacred texts to the Bible.
Regardless of labels, there are some big differences.

Christianity is a cult as well as all religions. Cult isn't a bad word. It is the basis of culture. It is a group that centers around some common end or being. Christians worship Jesus Christ as the One True God. That is the center of their cult. What most people are missing is that you have bad, dangerous cults and good cults. Anywhere you have a culture, you have some sort of cult to unite and shape the followers. So, the question is whether Jesus Christ, the One True God, shapes mormons.

No person or group that doesn't ascent to Jesus Christ as the second person of the Triune God is a Christian per se. There is also baptism and fidelity to the Church necessary spiritually. Within all these statements the one real question is this:
DO MORMONS CONFESS THAT JESUS CHRIST IS GOD? If they don't, they may be closer to Arianism, but end up being polytheists who believe that we all can become "gods" as they understand it. Cult is thrown around too much. All groups of worship cults.

I did not doubt the fact that Mormons are christian, I doubt the fact that they are following the bible over their own book, you are meant to respect others and their opinion, yet many mormons seem to lack respect with how they continue to try to convince someone, or force them rather by continously preaching even though it is clear that the one they are talking to has made their decision already, I am a protestant myself, not a Mormon(obviously due to the question's nature), was just curious.

@thirdimpact And last point...
Mathew 19:16-22. The rich man asks jesus what he has to do to have eternal life, jesus answers literally "if thou wilt enter into Life, keep the commandments." the rich man says he hasnt had too much trouble doing a decent job since his youth, "what lack i yet?". Jesus answer in concept is to do all you can, and the rich man walked away sorrowing, cuz he didnt want to. Why didnt jesus run him down and say "jk, its all grace man works dont matter ." ??
