  • Wow, how long ago was this filmed?

  • The 90s

  • southend buy the river.

  • No, by the sea. Because it is east of the Crowstone.

  • Those were the days! I don't think there are any clips from the present cosmicfred. I'd guess this is from 1998 or so? I don't know why I say 98 maybe it was before. Things were so much better then. Raging River, Telecombat Jets, Barracuda, Fantasy Dome. No Rage, Mighty Mini Mega, Cow Jump! I just wish we could have those days back. And also, what is the song?

  • Nat king cole, Those lazy hazy crazy days of summer.

  • @proff180 it's called time...

  • Went there last week, it was packed, probably the scorching hot weather attracted even more people, it was a trip down memory lane for me...or at least that was the intention, I was there as a kid in the early 70's like many others, it's still OK for a fun day out but I can tell that it's not the place it once was, mind you what is nowadays??, these are very weird times we're living in and nothing is the same anymore.

  • Was there on saturday, used to be a top day out now but the beach and the sea just doesn't seem clean now to me

  • cut backs they took the sand

  • @tye1765 Get a good breakfast down there though.

  • excellent work!

  • I grew up in Westcliff, loved the Southend Illuminations, then their was the annual parade - the last member was the knitter! the year was 1952, I went to Fairfax High School, it was a simple time, friends were loyal the girls were sweet and rock and roll was just beginning, the song was "Mambo Italiano" great times

  • nice video. The palm tree's along the front now are probably the worst idea the council have had.

They cost £2000.00 each and they are being replaced already after 15 months.

    Nice vid tho

  • where did all that sand come from when ive ever gone to southend its always been mud

  • lol dis is ancient the beach is stoney now lol
