I started doing kegels about a year ago to treat ed. For three months, I made steady progress and my erections got stronger, some lasting over half an hour. However, all of a sudden, my erections became weaker and, for several months, I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I stopped doing kegels two weeks ago and my strong erections returned, so I decided to resume kegels two days ago, but last night my erections were weak again. Is it possible to overexercise the pelvic floor?

great video. wish i had had u as my instructor in nursing school. i have never had any children but i have always had relaxed vaginal muscles. can this be hereditary. i remember my mom talking about this, and she only had one child.
Thank you for the great videos. I have fractures of pubic rami on BOTH sides. I feel as if I have some prolapse going on (very intense pressure with standing, walking and on toilet), although I can control urine flow. My ortho thinks I'm nuts. If this doesn't resolve, do I go to a gynecologist next or a urologist when the fractures heal?

@plagib You would want to see a doc who specializes in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery--that might be a gyne with training in uro-gynecology or a urologist with training in female urology.

can a bladder prolapse be reverted or correct with the practice of these exercises? some people say than yes it can and others say that is a complete waste of time that exercising the pf muscles does not works! what is your opinion doctor?

@mariabonita423 Once the bladder has significantly lost its support mechanism, it is unlikely that exercise will reverse the problem; however, the exercises can help stabilize the problem. The PFM exercises are best for minor stress incontinence and minor prolapse.
