The Who performed an extravagant version of their hit "My Generation" at Woodstock. The legendary rock band that would later influence nearly every genre of rock music is depicted perfectly in this video.

  • @RackliffeHoltRacette TOWNSEND SHOULD BE LOCKED UP IN JAIL FOR ATTACKING ABBIE HOFFMAN AND FOR WATCHING CHILD PORNAGRAPHY

  • @nowhereluke Yeah Pete got it back! Neck was fine on it, and used it for about another year before he smashed it

  • @victorwhogo HAHAHA Robert was WAILING. Search August 18 1969 Toronto or Zeppelin lewisville International Speedway for video of zeppelin from august 31 they would have KILLED!

  • it's funny because I listen to this with headphones and you can hear people yelling SMASH IT PETER ..and stuff like that. That is exactly what Hendrix hated. He played behind his back, with his teeth, smashed the guitar, humped the amp..he did more gimmicks than anyone and he said he hated when people were just coming to see this guy act crazy instead of being there for the music and then it being just a natural reaction.

  • yea it's not as cool once you know that..on the new dvd you can see a guy with the sg on the left side of the screen but that shot isn't in this version..and some guy on another video is claiming he has it..haha it would have landed in the photographers pit thing. Not really rock is right..I always get that contrived vibe from The Who..Hendrix talked about doing gimmicks and how eventually he hated people just wanting to see that instead of really listening and it should be spur of the moment.

  • Pactater, I read in a book that they sent someone to retrieve the guitar!!! not really rock ....

  • Fantastic.
