Yep. It's their way of feeling things and testing them out, and sometimes simply to clean or sharpen their beaks.

you realize that birds can't tell the difference between praise & punishment with words, so when your telling your Sun "no"...he's understandind that as praise, so actually your incuraging that behaviour...just a little advise, but your birds are too sweet

I figured, but Ernie does this thing where I play with him & he rubs his beak for a long distance on the floor... oh well. Does the Sun bites as much as the green Cheek? The GC are known for biting. Our Ernie's going through that phase... we can't wait to get it over. Thanks 4 answering my questions.
