Today, the House will consider the TARP Reform and Accountability Act, H.R. 384, to amend the Troubled Assets Relief Program (TARP) provisions of the Emergency Economic Stabilization Act of 2008 (EESA). The legislation will strengthen accountability, close loopholes, increase transparency, and require Treasury to take significant steps on foreclosure mitigation.

  • Oh save us!

  • Why are we asking for accountability?

If they had rejected King Paulson idea of a bailout. We would be here asking for accountability. We said no to the bailouts yet they agreed to do it anyway.

Congress sucks major fucken ass. It's one big ass circus show. It's a joke.

  • That will never happen, it always goes to companies and donors that got them elected.

  • These idiots signed this bill, or did they forgot that Barney wrote this legislation giving Paulson the power. These morons never take the blame for mistakes they made.

  • "I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered. The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people,to whom it properly belongs." • How about you pass a bill next entitles "Tax Responsibility Act."

    1. No money shall ever be allocated by the Federal Government with the intention of stimulus, relief, or any other means which transfers money to private companies or individuals in order to prevent their bankruptcy or encourage their spending.

    2. Furthermore, no additional funds shall be allocated to government programs as a way to create jobs or stimulate the economy, since this has bn prven not to achieve the desired outcome

  • First made your business your business and than your success is your success. How ever your business works for you. Work out the business until your business works for you.

But what they are telling us. They stimulate by injecting more printed up cash and less capital money. Money unearned is nothing but paper money but what is telling them off.

  • Because they would rather spend your money how THEY WANT (which helps them get re-elected), instead of letting you keep your money and spend it how YOU WANT.
