  • what me and my brother remembe, back in the day that the pc engine had games that look like crappy 8 bit even some later titles and some games looked like neo geo but for the those you pay pretty much, sapphire soldier blade the really expensive games looked really good.those snk games also looked great but where so mediocore.

  • All PCE games were in the same range in price BITD. Collector's prices have more to do with supply & demand.

Even games with less stunning graphics made up for it in quantity, CD music, voice, cinemas, etc... But there were so many PCE games released, that there are lots of technically impressive games for every simpler one.

  • I really like the PCE soundchip. is like a NES but with more instruments. In Air Buster the music is better than the MD version. But in Devil's Crash the music was re-made by Tecnosoft, the kings of MD music. And i prefer the MD music.

  • Well, i think both renditions are awesome, there are some parts of the music that i like better on each console, so both win it for me, hehe.

  • They both sound good in there own way, neither is bettet than the other, you learn to appreciate for what the systems were and what memories you have of them, to me both systems tg, genesis and snes were all greatesy of the great systems, where nowadays ps3, nore xbox will ever come close to the fond memories these 16bit systems instilled in us, I cant pick a winner, greatesy of the great

  • @majesticlizard

yeah only yet to see other games then lords or thunder and sapphire look good, and i never seen anything on pc engine looking better then snes so the 488 colours are just theorie that's not used.same as they've said eternal champions on sega cd used 250 colours offcourse it looked good but there wheren't 200+ colours in that game maybe throught rgb.tg16 had some nice/better looking games but sega and snes had more.

  • @aryinc: You are aware the PC Engine had a 16-bit dedicated graphics chip that displayed 480 colors at once? I guess not.

  • @RayofJustice No kidding, dude! I love that company and I wish Tecno Soft was still in business. In fact, I have always wondered what it would be like if Tecno Soft made licensed games. I bet that they would've made them awesome.

  • @decapattack

    Really? Weird.

  • Tecno Soft=the master of game music !!!

  • Toshiaki Sakoda composed these themes. Toshiaki Sakoda wins.

  • MD hands down big clear winner. TG on some game have nice music, but no way in hell TG has better audio... Sorry. I have both and DC on MD kills it.

  • PC engine WINS EASY !!!!! Devils crush PC ENGINE better than MD

  • I prefer the PCE versions myself. I like that buzzy and dirtier sound, I feel it captures the games atmosphere better.
