I remember going to see the Itals at a shitty lil club in chesterfield, (monmatre I think) right upside the crooked spire in 91/92 (forgive me if I can't be precise my memory of those days is FuCtureD) this and many other memories of those early ravey davey dayz are emblazoned in my memory, Derick May or Frank De Wulf at the Palais, Carl Cox at Kikis, Sasha at Shelleys .. I wouldn't trade a second for the crap they play at clubs now ... Glad to have been there when it was fresh & new and fun!

Dance music from the early 1990's mutated. One strand, represented by the Ital Rockers became digital dub reggae as the Ital Rockers became the Iration Steppas. If you're looking for that early acid house vibe and atmosphere its still here in 2010: Check out the Iration Steppas Sound System and SubDub in Leeds and this year's Outlook Festival, in Croatia, had all the vibes of the 1989 Blackburn parties and warehouses, except the music was a bit different and there was lots of sun, by the sea!
