A coalition of eight UK-based human rights organizations released a scathing report on conditions in the Gaza Strip on Thursday.

DAVID MEPHAN, POLICY DIRECTOR, SAVE THE CHILDREN: The judgment of the various humanitarian, human rights, and development organizations like Save the Children that have been involved in putting this report together is that the humanitarian situation on the ground in Gaza today is the worst that it's been for forty years.

well basically gaza is part of the the palestinian lands. The palestinians want freedom from Israeli occupation. The Israelis control pretty much everything that goes into gaza, strangeling the economy. Palestinians want to be self determined, not reliant on hand outs. Naturally out of desperation some people take up arms and start firing into civilian Israeli towns, because of this the Israeli government cuts supplies to Gaza and makes the whole population suffer.
