http://www.nevadamusic.co.uk/search.aspx?keywords=ibanez%20rgd Ibanez have pretty much built a rock-solid reputation for creating some very fine rock and metal guitars and although the Ibanez range encompasses a whole lot more than just rock guitars this is arguably their mainstream target customer base. A new decade therefore heralds another batch of deliciously wicked rock guitars starting with the RGD 320 resplendent in Metallic grey sunburst as shown here ...
Specification wise it's pretty much as we've come to expect from Ibanez with a Basewood body and a 3 piece Wizzard II Maple neck complimented by a 24 Jumbo fret Rosewood fretboard that has deliciously decadent "V" shaped inlays. The pick-ups were specifically designed to compliment guitar players who prefer to tune down from concert pitch and in fact straight from the factory this instrument has an alternative D A F C G D tuning (high to low strings).
The VK-Down Tunz hum-bucking pick-ups feature Alnico V bar pole-pieces, which will deliver high output with high-end clarity. These are controlled simply by Master Tone & Volume rotary knobs and a 5-way blade type selector switch. This out-and out rock-monster is further enhanced by the inclusion of the Edge III Tremolo system which embodies all of the classic function of the original Edge but with some modern updates. It features lower profile fine-tuners, much like the Lo-Pro Edge whilst there are also two screws in the arm pocket for easy adjustment of the tremolo arm height and torque.
