@TheMadMoby - It depends on what you have, but for anchors similar to what are in this video, cut the straps with a pair of tin snips (keep your face back - straps are under pressure), remove the nuts and bolts (bolts have a slit the strap slides through, so pry the bolt off the remaining piece of strap), and use a piece of 2"x4" lumber, on edge inserted into the anchor head, as a handle to turn the auger anchor out of the ground (counter clockwise).
Wow - you guys really have no idea how to properly install an anchor, attach it to an I-beam, or properly attach the strap to the bolt. The anchors are not fully driven, several of the stabilizing devices are off more than 10-degrees, the straps have tails sticking out, and you have the pull coming off the bottom of the I-beam. You can see the whole side of the stabilizing device in the last image. I hope you don't set like this anymore - that house may as well not have anchors.
I have the machine that drives these anchors for sale. It is used (only once--drove 16 anchors), but I will sell it for far less than the 900 dollars I paid for it. email to tvn300atyahoodotcom for questions. Tom
What is the machine called that the guy is using in this video?
