@TheSparkleBrigade : I truly don't understand your point. Pete had excellent groundstrokes also and often beat Agassi from the ground. You can't fault him for also having one of the best serves of all time. Sampras had the serve, the volleys, and the ground strokes and that is why he had 14 slams and Agassi won 8. They both were great players though.

It's funny, I love Sampras, one of my favorites, but think how different American tennis would be if Agassi had been the golden boy instead of Sampras. I truly believe serving would take 2nd chair to good solid groundstrokes instead of bombing serves. You can't emulate Pete's greatness anyway, why bother trying?
