Zipline adventure at Lake Sebu, South Cotabato, Philippines. Located several thousand feet above sea level and thirty minutes ride from Surallah, Lake
Sebu is said to be the crater of a dormant volcano like the nearby Mt. Parker and Mt. Matutum. Lake Sebu drains its excess waters down below passing by all Seven (7) breath-taking water falls. The tallest, strongest and most magnificent is the second Waters Fall where the first of its kind, the Ziplines of South Cotabato are found. Local and Foreign Tourists alike are so amazed with the sight and location of the Ziplines. Such adventure, slipping through an extended iron wire is an adventure worth the ride. You could see different kinds of curious visitors, assisted by natives and migrants, and all walks of life who try to converge to this area, of course to watch the age-old mountain green vegetation, century old trees, granite stones, rare flora, ferns and attractive pauna. The most important character is the appearance of the falls which already existed since the world began, and how our God created this hidden paradise for centuries. The formation of wonderful Water Falls in succession one after another is hard to believe. So take a ride at this Ziplines hovering several feet above the rainforests, rivers and streams. ACCLAIMED TO BE THE TALLEST, LONGEST AND MOST FANTASTIC VIEW IN THE ENTIRE PHILIPPINES. You're Welcome Sir/Madame!......../////.http://www.facebook.com/note.php?saved&&note_id=257263814312493......///.....Posted Sept. 27, 2011: Lake Sebu, South Cotabato! This is common occurence and picture that you can get from visiting the Second Falls of Lake Sebu! The same equally breath-taking view with the Six remaining Falls in the area! This has been going for the past centuries and countless generations of the natives-inhabitants of South Cotabato!
The T'bolis'and B'laans' predominates the area including the Sarangani Province since then! These NATIVES AND LUMADS- were the original people in Mindanao who dwelled South Cotabato for countless years long-long way ahead of the MORO TRIBES who arrived and conquered the Island of Midanao yet started as VISITOR-TOURISTS- turned Rulers!
History states that the water reserves of Lake Sebu usually drains its way down the hills forming several Water Falls distant-apart from each other. The excess cascading Lake waters above from the main body of water created the magnificent famous 'SEVEN FALLS' before it reaches the Allah river to meet other lakes in Mindanao like the Buluan Lake and finally converged to form the Rio Grande de Mindanao!
At the nearby mountain is the crater of Mt. Maughan; untouched, unexplored, less-inhabited and equally astonishing Lake! Lake Maughan and the area Of Mt. Parker is also rich in Tilapia and other aquatic species and the place is surrounded by virgin forest and covered with green vegetation that made up for the water reserves of the province of South cotabato. At the opposite Tampakan Area in the province, where THE WORLD'S LARGEST AND BIGGEST DISCOVERY OF MINERALS AND PRECIOUS METALS SECOND ONLY TO AFRICA are FOUND.
It's said that Lake Sebu has rich in Coal deposits at the Mountainous portions of Barangay Ned, the Uranium, Gold at the nearby T'boli Area and of course covered by dense-lush forest!Lake Sebu Municipality is blessed with so much natural resources, enviable natural beauty, grows different edible plants or fruit trees and supplies Fresh Tilapia Fish!
The most important character of our province is the balance of Water and Sun all-year round! We are self-sufficient in terms of food and other basic commodities! This is the reason why we EXPORT OUR PRODUCTS TO EUROPE, NORTH AMERICA, CANADA JAPAN and SOUTH KOREA! Its world-class supplier; to mention a few; bananas, pineapple products, fresh fishes and famous Tuna, etc etc. The presence of Dole and TADI in Polomolok with extensions at T'boli area for the processing of Canned fruits and vegetables helped alleviate the lives of local folks!
When Storms and Typhoons pound the Visayas and Northern Luzon, our place remains calm & sober, and could not even felt the fury of excess rain and wind not unlike in the Nothern part of the country; for MINDANAO is not the path of this nature's wrath! And so, we thrived well and even live longer in Mindanao! God bless Mindanao and God bless the Philippines!~
