CROSBY, STILLS AND NASH ARE BMI ICONS

Crosby, Stills & Nash were honored by the songwriting organization with the Icon award last week in Los Angeles. The award is given out in recognition of outstanding lifetime achievement in songwriting. In a tribute to C-S-N, Gavin DeGraw, Maroon 5, and peer Gregg Allman from the Allman Brothers each played their favorite Crosby, Stills & Nash tune. David Crosby said that they always hoped that their songs would be the most enduring part of the band. Graham Nash was then asked about being icons. Also honored at the ceremony were co-songwriters of the year, Lil Jon and Maroon 5. Each had three songs in the Top 50.
