A recently finished project that I've been working on that takes an in dept look at how one of the greatest kids channels of the 90s, hit rock bottom in the year 2K and the after effects that it caused for all the old school Nickelodeon fans

... and with that said, I fully agree about being sick of that dumb "new" Sponge and all the live-action shows (I was born in 1992 and watched Nickelodeon a lot with my Dad, despite not really understanding it). Despite initially disliking it, I almost started liking the current "text" logo when I watched some of the animated bumpers they did with it, but I can't help but realize how far gone the channel is when I see it. It just sucks now.

Spongebob didn't kill Nickelodeon, Nickelodeon killed Nickelodeon. They started getting very money-hungry in the 2000s and started milking franchises ("Rugrats", anyone?) until they had a bad name. SB became very popular on its own merits (I completely understand why people would dislike it, though) like other Nicktoons did, but this time "Nick" decided to capitalize on it. If the channel itself didn't turn sour like it did, SB would've ran a few years and passed on like those before it.

NEVER FEAR HOPE IS HERE! because teennick has our heavenly childhood shows on at 9:00 pm everynight and plus i think this might be hope for nickelodeon.

Though I don't really watch Nick (and am never a fan of it), I have to admit that Nick had really great programming back in the 90s when I was a really young lad. I actually enjoy some shows on Nick from the 90s (Ren & Stimpy seasons one and two, Rocko's Modern Life, AAAHH! Real Monsters, and the first two seasons of Kablam!, CatDog and that's it). Today, the present day, Nick is now complete garbage.

It seems like only yesterday I would come home from school to catch all the things that made me feel a pure sense of happiness I never got from anything else. Its not just the shows. The nickelodeon of my time reminded me so much of my childhood and of the person I use to be.
To see the things that made me smile vanish in front of my eyes just breaks my heart...
