"MAG: Massive Action Game," Unveiled by Andy Beaudoin from Zipper Interactive, MAG — whose trailer looked like "SOCOM set 15 years into the future," according to our eyes on the scene, will immerse players in large online battles of up to 256 players. The trailer featured multiple terrain types, complex tactics, and sounds very much like a SOCOM MMO at this stage.


Character growth will be accomplished through an advancement tree, which allows players to fine tune their players throughout massive campaigns. "MAG will deliver an intense and long lasting shooter experience," said Beaudoin, who also described the game as "a workout even for the PS3 architecture."

This will be a PS3 exclusive!

Zipper are aiming for a "Spring 2009" release date so keep and eye out for it!

I've played it, im also getting it today. The game doesn't lag. The game is sweet, i'de give it a 9/10 if i were a game critic, the only thing that hits me is the graphics, but what do you expect from a game that can have 256 ppl am i right?

@brutis86 Yeah and that is why a attacking faction can take an installation in less than 5 min? Technically in a game like this its called taking the defense. Not every game requires you to run around like a chicken with hits head shot off like in Call of Duty.

@stupidwapdaggo The animations and graphics are decent. Destructible environments are really unnecessary in my opinion. Only spoiled kids complain about every little detail in a good video game. And it doesn't lag frequently; Zipper always do updates to please players.
