Watch how this fully loaded Boeing 777-236/ER (Registration G-YMMD) takes off as BA036 from MAA Chennai/India on 19 Jan 2008 en route to LHR London-Heathrow. Notice how vapor develops in the turbine due to the humidity. This flight normally takes off in the dark at 4am local time but was delayed a good two hours inbound due to the Heathrow incident. That's why you get to see of bit more of MAA airport on this occasion. Enjoy!

  • Rolls Royce engines have always been reliable and cleaner than american engines. Great British engineering

  • It's true. The GE90 hold the world's record for power. Look it up. Not saying the RR Trent isn't good, it's great, it's just that the GE has a small advantage in power.

  • 1:47 = I see a BA Boeing 747-300. How it is possible of having two BA in Chennai airport at same time? Hope the parked 747 is not a cargo!

  • @Gydronats

True. It goes for all jet planes, the sound behind in the engine is louder and rumbly while the sound in front of the engines is music. With turboprops, it is the opposite.

  • I Love the sound of the engines ;D

  • i love the roar of the engines just as the take off begins

  • @frodoslodo maybe the 747 was there due to the incident with G-YMMM at LHR on the 17th? after all this was on the 19th and the info does say that this flight was delayed? ;)

  • I love the sound of the engines!

  • @speedbird007 google BA38 or the Qantas A380 engines that blew up ALL RR

  • @EmadIV Forgive me for being a novice, but what's a PM?

    P.S. Don't expect a response for quite a bit of time - school's starting, I'm in a flurry of homework :(

  • @Gydronats

Hey I have a question, check your PM! I have sent you the question.
