@MrZaco32 Mate, your attitude sucks. There is nothing wrong with her technique, you SHOULD use the wrist in this style of drumming - along with the arms. Don't post on YouTube criticizing others when you haven't got any videos up of you playing. This girl is 10, and plays a damn good version of Duthart's Maggie Cameron. Stop being so negative.

I'm way better than this kid! I'm 13 and I'm not saying that this kid is bad but I don't think she is that good. Close up the roles, use less wrist (it tires you out) and put more power in your flams. If you know anything about scottish snare drumming you know what I'm talking about.

@MrZaco32 - Keep in mind this was a year ago and a lot can change from then to now. Since I trust that her instructor knows quite a bit about scottish snare drumming, I will leave her in his capable hands. Come back in another year - when she turns 13 I'll post another video and will look forward to your critique then. ;)

@MrZaco32 have you seen this young ladies most updated accomplishment? Check this link out. bbc.co.uk/music/worlds/2011/bands/dowco_triumph_street/ She played in all 3 circles with grade 1 Dowco Triumph Street Pipe Band who placed 9th in the world 2011. You may have to copy and paste it into your browser since I can't post the actual link here.
