Wow, beautiful recording man! You have a pleasant tone and a good sense of sound. Good job, cause decent clarinetists are something of a rarity on Youtube :P. Sucks that you had to give it up to focus on college. I honestly would've loved to hear you play while you were still taking it seriously.
Well, I do hope you keep playing, even if only just for fun once in a while =)

@DTrinh09 I know what you mean. Even in high school there's not much time during the week to practice anymore. I get a lot of my practice time by going in and practicing in the band room during lunch or practicing during orchestra (I'm a helper/piano player it's a string only orchestra) or during music history if we have free time. I'll have to keep working at it and looking up some techniques. Thanks.

love this recording, I also play clarinet so I would love to do something like this
I love your tone. It always seems like Male clarinet players can get that dark rich tone so much easier than Female clarinetists. Maybe its just me. I'll just have to keep working at it. I love the videos. I thought i subed a long time ago, but I noticed i didn't. no wonder I didn't see any of your videos in my sub box. Thats fixed. :)

@clarinetplayer94 i had a few phases when i fooled around and tried to be like Kenny G with a really apparent vibrato. Ever since, it sorta stuck and i became almost obsessed with trying to create a good tone. unfortunately i haven't had the same amount of time as i did in high school to practice regularly so my air support and articulation really blows now (pun intended). imo, it comes down to how well your embouchure and air support is, then your mouthpiece/reed setup
