DAWS Dog for Adoption - LASSIE

Hi! My name is Lassie and I'm an 8 year-old Collie mix who has hip problems and a broken ankle that never properly healed. I know what you're thinking -- "Senior dog, hip issues, broken ankle . . . what chance does she have of being adopted?" And there are probably many shelters out there that would agree with you. But not DAWS -- they know that there is someone out there for me. Just a few months ago I was hit by a car and left for dead on the side of the highway but you would never know it if you met me. I'm such a happy girl -- happy for the kind people who believed that I was worth saving. And hopeful that there is someone out there who knows it too. I'm on medication for my ankle and may need stronger medication as I get older. But what I need more than anything is a chance. I've got a fighting spirit and a huge heart and a ton of love to share . . . can I share it with you?
