This film was produced by Gordon Goodman PhD, a Media Psychology doctoral graduate at Fielding Graduate University, as part of his dissertation on stage fright. Dr. Goodman's dissertation is noteworthy for several reasons. One, this was the first study of stage fright ever conducted with over 100 elite actors from Broadway, television and film, instead of the usual college acting students or mere members of an acting guild or union.
Second, his study refutes the widely held belief that stage fright is closely linked to age, experience, or fears of incompetence. By contrast, stage fright is shown to be far more closely linked to particular acting situations. The interpretation of those situations is predicted by levels of confidence, rather than age, experience, task competence, or even personality.

Fantastic, and important that this was done. I, too, am one of those individuals, although not quite at the level of celebrity. Not yet, anyway. But it's good to know that I'm not alone in this endeavor. Onward and upward.
