Blowing up textbook trial 1

Because my database class was a pain, and because we couldn't sell our textbooks back (which cost about $75) due to the fact that they were updating the system, my boyfriend and I decided to blow up my Microsoft Access 3 textbook. This was the first trial, which was unsuccessful, but a good try nevertheless. We cut a hole in the center of the book, put firecrackers inside the hole, and then attached a rectangle strip of paper from the book so it stuck out the side. Thus, by lighting the strip of paper, it would light the firecrackers up. Didn't work, but oh well.
