The car is fully restored to like new condtion. This was a 6 month long process, I took on in the summer of 2009. I performed 99% of the work myself, which involved body, paint, interior, driveline, steering, suspension, brakes, and lighting.
First, after being completely disassembling the body, I stripped the shell to bare metal, performed all of the body work, and Gary Waters applied a zinc rich primer coat. After handsanding the car twice and reapplying primer coats in between I spent 30+ hours preping the bodykit for paint and installation. The car was sprayed by Mark Milburn with Sikkens paint products in a 3 stage Balloon white pearl from Lamborghini.
I leave the paint gun work to the pros with a steady hand that do this kind of work everyday.
All the glass was removed, old tint removed, and glass re-installed post-paint with a new windsheild from PPG.
The full black interior is from a 55K mile 99 SC300. This includes the gated shifter and the 99 dash and passenger airbag. The steering wheel is from a Toyota Supra.
I replaced the original engine and transmission with units from a 27K mile donor car. The motor mounts are solid steel with poly bushing. The differential is a 4.08 ratio with Cusco clutch type LSD. The diff has 11K miles on it since new.
The steering rack and inner and outer tie rods were replaced with new units from the Lexus dealer.
The upper and lower control arms have been replaced with new units from Lexus and Toyota respectively.
The shocks are Stance GR+ coilovers with 18K/10K rates. Right now they are on the highest height setting. Once the new wheels are installed I will adjust the stance of the car for the perfect fitment.
The brakes are Supra twin turbo all around with custom painted calipers in silver metalic with black Lexus logos. Cross drilled and slotted rotors with Hawk pads.
The headlights are restored to new condition w/ BMW X5 projector retrofit, 500-2000 grit sanded and clear coated lenses, new brilliant chrome inners, and LED city lights. Genuine Phillips Ultinon bulbs are used in the low beams and the fogs are 3000K HIDs in new 97+ foglights from the dealer.
The dome/map light console was upgraded with LED boards. The trunk light is green LED abd the rear liscence plate lights are LED.
Don't like the kit at all 2000 oem kit make it look like a true Lexus sorry but you cant make prefect better

Actually the 1uz has plenty of potential to go extremely fast, however it is alot more expensive then just dropping the supra 2jz-gte. With the newer vvti 98+ sc400 1uz gets stock 285hp, add intake/exhaust/headers and ur looking at 300+ which is as fast as most sport cars today. And if its too heavy, thats why they invented cabon fiber
