@nanthony777 how about the 1985 Toyata Supra?The engine received a redesigned throttle position sensor (TPS) as well as a new EGR system and knock sensor.With the slight increase in power the Supra was able to propel itself from 0–60 mph in 8.4 seconds and netting a 16.1 second quarter mile at 85 mph (137 km/h).
Uncertain if that would match the Delorean or not but after all it is a Toyata. The time Marty lost starting the engine could've been saved had it been a Toyata. Perhaps in a remake.

Marty will just give himself more plutonium once he lives to 1985, causing his older self to vanish... but then he would never have been able to give himself the plutonium!!! GREAT SCOTT!!! I FORESEE ONE POSSIBILITY. THE ENCOUNTER COULD CREATE A TIME PARADOX, THE RESULTS OF WHICH COULD CAUSE A CHAIN REACTION THAT COULD UNRAVEL THE VERY FABRIC OF THE SPACE TIME CONTINUUM AND DESTROY THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE!!! Granted that's a worst case scenario. The destruction might be limited to our own galexy.
