  • Yeah... nothing abnormal with massive chunks of Antarctica melting and falling into the ocean. Nope.

Good thing we didn't do anything about the big hole in ozone layer several years ago due to chemicals used in air conditioners and fridges. Oh wait, we did.

Is it so wrong to at least TRY to clean the air you breathe? Is it so hard to TRY to reduce the amount of energy you consume (hey, you save money!) Everything we do has a butterfly effect that eventually adds up.

  • Republicans and democrats are the same thing. until you have woken up to this fact, we are never going to get anywhere... We are going to be screwed while we fight amongst ourselves.

  • Obama didn't start the war and he can't just pull out. In 2008 after 7 years of fighting he couldn't just say ''Let''s get out of here!'' instantly.

But I don't think he's gonna meet his promise of closing guantanimo

  • but wasent obama muslim

  • The majority acts like the majority, the minority acts like the minority. The D's and R's are a superficial change. They just change the names of the same plans and act like they are different. The illusory dichotomy is what allows the system to maintain the illusion of choice. Or do you really believe there is a difference between stimulating the economy by increasing gov't spending and cutting taxes (democrats), or cutting taxes and increasing gov't spending (republicans).

  • obama is killing innocent Muslims and American troops in these failed 2 wars

  • you tube will not let you tell the truth

  • Well I'm all for creating infrastructure and funding research but subsidizing industries is something else not to mention cap and trade. I just don't see a need to for cap and trade. I think it would be better to let the costs rise so that energy companies try to find more cost efficient ways to stay afloat. Government does it's best when it allows market forces to drive cost. The only thing government should do is create an infrastructure for new energy and fund research through loans.

  • alby711: "unsubsidized energy market"

Not that I'm against dropping the petroleum subsidies, but that looks like it will only raise those prices 10-20%, and that still doesn't get any other energy sources into the competitive range. People and industries will not move without a price advantage, which bring us back to government involvement.

That's not always a bad thing - creating the infrastructure and encouraging us to use it is what government can do best.

  • I don't understand what your'e saying, CliveSinclairZX.
