  • 19 years old Michelangeli. I wish I were there.

  • 5:45 until the end is such a tour de force. Some of the most exciting pianism one can hear. This is my favorite recoriding of this work along with Richter and Barere.

  • A 19 anni gia' faceva paura,qui si rischia l'infarto :)

  • holy shit!!

  • @lisztbest Vabbé, è del 1939, possiamo perdonare l'audio

  • Brilliant - pianists today have lost this sort of touch

  • Favorite concerto performance of all time, tied with Horowitz playing the Rachmaninoff third concerto with Zubin Mehta.

  • He was ACTUALLY 19 when he played this!!

  • i second what michel said

  • Amazing.

  • 7:06 At the end Michelangeli runs away from the orchestra and the conductor has to increase speed to join him again. Happy ending. ;-)
