The Game Gear version has some significant changes:

1. The carisma point system was completly removed. This means you can buy every weapon without the CP limit. Gem stones were now used for teleportation.

2. Many "secret" doors were removed.

3. World and Dungeons were partly redesigned.

4. Legendary shield isn´t buyable anymore. The shop was removed. The shield is dropped now by an enemy.

Had the Master System version. Wonder Boy 3 I think? Seriously awesome game.

You have no idea how wistfully nostalgic watching this game makes me. It was like one of the first games I ever played, back when I was like 4 or 5.

I struggled with it constantly due to being so young even if I can ace it now XD Even then watching the game now just makes me feel really really nostalgic.

How come when I go to the 'secret' places you do to get an extra heart I just get an empty chest? I've only got 3 hearts and its annoying!

OKAY, also, they added the knight shield, they made the blue glow ball things easy to kill (doesn't take 50 hits with the legend sword)

I see now.. they basically made the game basically the same but they got it to take WAY less time to beat probably because of battery life.

yeah there are quite a few changes indeed. I own this on SMS and love it but never played the GG version. The item prices are cheaper, they added more easy to find secret doors, and they got rid of charisma making the game half the difficulty.. mostly due to the time consuming process of trying to get stones. I am 25 minutes into this vid so I am going to continue. I have no idea how you got passed the 10 minute limit with no adds on the page. haha. Thanks for this upload.
