This short film was made as part of the New Zealand 48 hour film festival 2007

We had 48 hours to write, shoot and edit a 2-7 minute long film which had to incorporate these 3 elements:
Character: Jerry Reed (a hypochondriac)
Prop: Rope
Dialogue: "What do you call that?"

We also drew a random Genre at the start which was 'Fairytale or Puppet Film'

This film is dedicated to Peter Marchant who sadly passed away recently. Pete provided much of the genius required to finish this project.

  • Oh God, I just watched that with my 4 year old daughter. Think I should've watched it first without her. She's crying now.

  • The puppet genre not an easy option, but your opening scene won it for me.

  • Touching film. Very nice!
