  • Sifu...I have some questions I'd like to ask you in reference to customizing a moderate wing chun regiment for me. Overview...I have some martial experience, but I am 53, have had 2 heart attacks, and have a neurological issue which has taken approximately 70% of my strength in my left hand. I notice that many of the strikes and actual movements bear a remarkable resemblance to some of the techniques found in systems such as hsing-i and pakua chang. zasetso2010@yahoo.com

  • @zasetsu57 wing chun has been affiliated with some of the animal forms such as snake and crane. so i know what you mean. but what makes wing chun different is that the "changes" happen primarily in the forearm and hand (third stick) rather than in the body.

  • chinaboxer i jus 1 2 know how if the opponent giv u a low hit in ur stomach,how do u defence it.pls replyfaster.thx.

  • @tigrakumar you can do many things, such as pak, but i would most likely use a low gan with a punch.

  • were u located jin? ill even go to ur house to learn

  • i teach privately at a health club here in los angeles. everyone is welcome to come and work out with us during our sessions if you're in town. peace!

  • i must say that is one of the best wing chun videos i've seen for a long time...appreciate that

thank you for sharing this...have a good one jin

  • Id also just like to say that I really enjoy your videos. Getting your insights, while they may sometimes conflict very slightly, really help with my own understandings.

As you have said, most internet wing chun is poor. Embarking on this attempt to help improve the global standard of wing chun is an excellent cause, and you are definately succeeding. I would love nothing more than to meet you some day and exchange ideas and opinons.

    Keep training hard.

    Oli

  • nice video..you can see also my wooden dummy homemade design

  • boring!

  • Sifu Jin, i don't have money to afford a mook jong, unfortunately i don't have a partner either. i have a heavy bag, and just enough space to perform chum kiu in my room. I do it slightly different than you though but its still largely the same thing. basically i wanna know if i should learn the dummy form and just do it without a dummy or if i should hold off and just stick to the empty hand forms. Thanks a bunch for all you've taught me over the past 2 years ish

  • hey jin sifu. i'm with sifu eddie chong from sacramento. first off, your videos are awesome and it really reflects the teachings of grandmaster yip. thank you very much for posting.

i was wondering though however if you can make a video discussing application of foot work for the mook jong form. thank you very much!

  • Yes all good stuff when at this level, Wing Tsung Wing Chung, the 3 famous forms as my teacher Sifu Paul Hawks said beautif shapes elegant art.

  • Thanks so much for this video. I was curious about your thoughts regarding William Cheung's style of Wing Chun. There's a lot of controversy about him and Leung Ting. I have been doing Cheung's style for about 3 years now, and I do enjoy it and am learning a lot. Any thoughts about this?
