Rock Stars of Science Event - Capitol Hill: Stand Up 2 Cancer Panel Highlights

ABC Nightline co-anchor Terry Moran moderates a panel featuring Laura Ziskin, filmmaker and founder of Stand Up To Cancer, Laura Shawver, PhD, CEO of Phenomix Corporation and member of the Stand Up to Cancer Scientific Advisory Committee; Amy Dockser Marcus, Pulitzer Prize-winning reporter at the Wall Street Journal; and singer and actor Delta Goodrem. In addition to sharing their personal stories of cancer survival. the panel talked about making the strides being made in cancer research, and where and how investment needs to grow to save lives and reduce the economic impact of cancer.

The Rock Stars of Science briefing was hosted by the Geoffrey Beene Foundation, Research!America, Wyeth, Elan, the Alzheimer's Association and GQ.
