The tuck jump to silent landing is a parkour specific spin-off of an already useful exercise, the tuck jump. Tuck jumps build explosive jumping power while the silent landing develops the eccentric leg strength and coordination needed for stronger, safer landings. In addition, the goal of silence helps a practitioner focus on proper landing technique.

  • This isn't a showreel; he's posting it for the benefit of other traceurs and to help newbies with their jumping technique. This isn't parkour, it's exercise.

  • Yeah, it's not parkour, it's a conditioning excersise FOR parkour. It says it right in the title.

  • Wait, when I do this it makes a little clap sound, how do I stop it? or does it even mater?

  • Lol I thought I made up a conditioning exercise like this apart from I grab with the tuck, but I guess not grabbing works ur core more

  • Lol. This "kid" has inspired hundreds, if not thousands, to condition and train for parkour and essentially grow the next generation of traceurs as strong and adaptable.

  • Witness the fitness!

  • @parkourdude100 I know I ish late at replying, but.

You should let those idiots believe what you want, if they prefer the idea of us being lunatics jumping around, that's fine, isn't it?

When we climb buildings here in Norway, or do anything really, people call the cops, sayin' we're either, breaking in, or destroying public property, which would you rather prefer?

  • I would do that in public. Maybe not right in the middle of people's walking area, but the grass is fine. Conditioning is conditioning no matter where you do it. Just be considerate of others. Besides if you care moreso about what others think as opposed to your reasons and personal gain from doing exercises such as this than its whateva. It's not necessarily stupid if A. It has a purpose and B people can easily tell what your doing or in the least you can explain it to them if need be.

  • how bout u quit watching dumfuck

  • @adarfyrel Good point

  • @parkourdude100 what looks more rediculous, slapping the ground, or having your legs collapse and having shit knees?

  • yes, this guy looks retarded. yes, this is conditioning FOR parkour, not ACTUAL parkour. yes, it doesn't matter as parkour is not a spectator sport. look guys, while this is a useful movement to train and put into muscle memory, I for one would not be caught doing this in the middle of Croydon. call me insecure, but i agree with WizardlyWakish that it looks weird and reinforces the 'it's just a load of idiots jumping about' feel of parkour
