The DLSU-Manila Star Scholarship Program offers more academic and non-academic perks and benefits to grantees and imposes less commitments, responsibilities and other "catches" than the Ateneo De Manila University Merit Scholarship and the University of the Philippines Oblation Scholarship.

Realize the full potential for intellectual growth: first priority in study tours abroad; special library privileges; special interaction with University Fellows and top administrators and special career placement opportunities.

The progress of each Star Scholar is monitored via the Achievement through Integrated Mentoring (AIM) Program. AIM was designed to help the Star Scholar further develop leadership skills and other potential skills such as foreign languages.

Beyond the books: Star Scholars are encouraged to join different organizations to hone their people and leadership skills; Star Scholars strive to be adept in activities and pursuits that go beyond the academic domain.



De La Salle University-Manila is the first university in the country to garner a Level 4 Accreditation, the highest level of accreditation given by the Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU).

It is the only Philippine private university among the founding members of the ASEAN University Network (AUN) and serves as a regional hub in Chemical Engineering education for AUN members.

im living in the states and i would realy like my children when the time comes to attend college here in the philippines. what do you guys think of this?

If you're familiar with the educational system here in the Philippines, and your children are genuinely interested in studying abroad, then I say why not? Universities here are much more affordable than in the US, and in my opinion, quality is still up to par with the rest of the world. Just remember that in choosing the right school, there is only one University that produces Christian Achievers for God and Country.

I should get my dual Canadian Philippine citizenship so I can take courses at DLSU.

I was recently hired as a Teaching Principal for the Chipewyan Lake Community School with the Northland School Division in Northern Alberta, straight north of the Wabascan oilfields and Edmonton in Canada for this coming school year 2008-2009. It was my strong foundational background in terms of training and experience in the literacy/reading program that got me to the top. Kudos to DLSU for those graduate foundational courses.
