Comic book creator and artist Jack Kirby was recognized at the 2010 Fumetto International Comic Festival in Lucerne, Switzerland with over 150 pieces of his comic book art displayed on 3 floors spanning his life's work from 1940s until the 1990s.

  • Many thanks for this slide show. It provides the best way for people like me who could not go Lucerne to find out what was included in the show. Did they produce a catalog of the show? If not it might be a good idea to create one even if it is only a list of what was there.

  • @nostoceras Happy to do it and glad you enjoy it. They never produced a catalog, my first question too. They did however create a nice poster of a Simon and Kirby page. Keep an eye on the Jack Kirby Museum website at kirbymuseum. It is planned for them to sell the unsold posters from the event for membership. A list maybe an option the Kirby Museum might entertain...

  • The Fumetto Festival is a once a year show and doesn't travel. The hope is that this first and largest exhibition dedicated to Jack Kirby generates interest in having a future U.S. and/or Europe exhibition of Kirby's art.

  • Would you have a schedule where this Kirby exhibit is going next? Thanks for posting this.

  • @PaulHartXYZ Hi Paul sorry for the delay just checked into my channel after a long time. The Fumetto show is a one time exhibition so it won't be anywhere else. We're all trying to drum up interest in the U.S. for a Kirby show at a major Art Museum. Kirby's 100th birth anniversary is in 7 years perhaps then...

  • You are looking at the work of the one of the most unrecognized creative genius in the world. That's what Jack Kirby was. His name should be as recognized as Disney, if not more so, just because Mr. Kirby did so much more published work than Disney ever did, and his legacy is a mountain of creativity that no one has ever come close to. I wish I had seen this exhibition, but I'm happy with this vid.

  • Incomparable Jack Kirby.

  • thank you
