Internet is just great! This new project of zopa is very interesting. I'm afraid (if this thing grows) the banks would put the hand on or stop it in some way.

they might want to stop it, but what could they really do? It's like saying that the traditional encyclopedias are going to stop Wikipedia, or that Microsoft will kill Linux. Even if zopa itself fails, the basic idea is basically untouchable.
