OKay, to all members that have commented on my negative opinion, I have seen the light. David Lynch is god

@shinjiakira you might not have been able to tell there was a plot or a storyline but there very much was. It was a movie to decode and the plot wasn't laid out clearly - to figure out the plot it takes analysis and decoding. However me and many other people who have written about this movie have figured out what the movie is about. I think it's totally understandable if the movie wasnt in your taste but to insult the film just because you couldnt understand it seems to me unfair.

Jesus is lord of earth, repent, repent, repent, repent, pray, pray, pray.

Donnie Darko?
AKA "we come up with a good premise and then explain the hell out of everything"?
It did have a plot (while working on a "cursed" film, guilt, confusion and paranoia drive a woman to madness) and a climax (the confrontation with the Phantom), plus a storyline and a plot are the same thing.

@shinjiakira Well, i m more objective on other forms of art, but on cinema things can be more subjective, so dont take cimena as something that has to evolve and has to have a start and an ending, just watch this movie as a big hallucinogenic experience, a weird dream, most his movies are like that after all...

In all honesty I thought the movie sucked!!! And anyone admiring this film and calling it so-called art is off their mind. To avoid all arguments at all cost you must categorise that "Inland empire" is not a film nor a movie. The plot? The climax? The Storyline? There was none. And as for The resolution ... Nothing was resolved. It was like a whacky video clip from "The prodigy" except it was 3 hours long. In comparison to a similar movie: Donnie Darko, now thats a good movie.

David is making another movie. It's called, "No Fat Chicks".

David you are my teacher!

The weird visuals are from the dissolve right at the start of the film, I love those little details in Lynch films: the bits where you can't tell what you're looking at
Lynch does 'sexy' so well I think

I was hoping to see the girls dancing to the "Locomotion" sequence. That was the highlight of the movie.
