It seems that the OP will be awesome, as expected from Shikata Akiko. Too bad the anime is going to suck.

I have to say that whether the anime is representative fully of the game, or not, won't worry me in the slightest. Deens higurashi was far from perfect, but at the same time enjoyable in its own way if you weren't too fussy (or hadn't played the VN). Honestly, more umineko media in itself is just awesome. Even the fanmade videos are enjoyable to some extent. ^^

Also, the fact that they're going to use a large amount of the games music should improve things a bit.

The Higurashi VN is coming out in english late next month. I just finished episode four of the Umineko VN, but I still don't like it as much as Higurashi. I'm not saying that it sucks, but I'm really starting to get sick of this "LOL I TROLL YOU" bullshit that everyone is pulling. And apparently it just gets worse in Episode 5. But I am glad that Erika just showed up to pretty much prove that the whole ANTI-MYSTERY VS ANTI-FANTASY thing is complete bullshit.

VN stands for Visual Novel, which is what where the anime for both Higurashi and Umineko came from.

The manga is decent, but it loses a lot of things that the Visual Novel had.

And if you read the VN, then your opinion is more valid, but if you're basing this off of the first episode of the anime, I'm going to have to refute this.
