  • I think this happens on all e-readers because of e-ink display

  • @BogdanIzmaylov no it does not. My original concern came about because a good friend of mine had an identical model and it worked fine in direct sunlight. If you are having this problem I would call them for an exchange. If it is within 30 days they will send you a brand new one

  • I have the same problem with mine. Do you know if this is a problem with all of them?

  • @eddie68000 I don't think so. I had to get it replaced through the warrantee. The item in the video was the refurbished unit which was worse than the original. My new replacement is working great. I have a new video to demonstrate I will post in a few days.

  • i had the exact same model and i notticed the same exact issue. when i exposed it to direct sunlight or even a really strong led book light it would distort the text a little so it looked spotted. kind of a bummer but then again the screen at the time i bought it was an older model (9 gray scale vs. 16 gray scale). i have a nook now and the problem isn't there

  • How is it for PDfs? I'm looking to replace my paperback collection with PDFs and get the PRS600 to read them on. But theres no point if it just doesnt work like it should. Also re-buying the books in the official reader format means I'd have to take out a small loan to cover the cost of all those books. I have alot.

So yeh. If the PDF support isnt good enough I wont be buying. Any advice?

  • :C I bought it in US(they don't sell readers in Bulgaria), so I'll have to live with it as it is... thanks for info anyway :)
